Community Literacy: exploring how individuals use literacy practices to engage with community, to establish identity and interaction.

Visual Literacy: in terms of digital communication, especially those who aren't considered fully literate. Two of our artists participated in this research study.

A wonderful collaboration between McNabb and H'Art. H'Art artists created a mural for the McNabb Centre and in return, McNabb provided the artists with three weeks of pottery lessons. Special thanks to Pray Bhindi, Jan and Yolanda.

Ottawa Rotary Home Opening

Premier Dalton McGuinty opened the Ottawa Rotary Home. H'Art attended. A selection of 50 H'Art paintings were on display for the opening.


The Jane Cameron Award
May 14, 2009
H'Art studio artist Jessica Whitney won the 2009 Jane Cameron Award, a national award issued by the Canadian Down Syndrome Society. H'Art studio artist, Analisa Kiskis received and honourable mention.


Pottery Classes at McNabb Community Centre
