Based in Ottawa, Propeller Dance is the only organization in Ontario with the sole mandate of providing dance programming to people with and without disability

L’Arche Ottawa
A bilingual organization offering residential services and recreational day programs for seniors with developmental disabilities.

Lifetime Networks Ottawa
An organization created by, and for, families who have a relative with a disability. Information about educational training and personal support networks.

Carleton Association for Persons with Developmental Disabilities (OCAPDD)
Information about their programs, work opportunities, residential services and other services.

Ottawa Carleton Lifeskills Inc. (OCL)
Information provided about day programs,supported work programs and residential services.

An organization working in partnership with care providers and the community at large to offer programs and services to people with intellectual disabilities.

Ontario Special Olympics – Ottawa
The Ottawa District Community of Special Olympics Ontario offers training in 16 sports throughout the year. The site provides information about their programs, and ways to become involved.

Rhythmic Gymnastics
A program offered twice a year, under the Ottawa District Community of Special Olympics. The program is held at Plante Bath Community Centre.

Service Co-ordination
The site offers a description of all services provided. Links and job opportunities are also included.

Therapeutic Riding in the Ottawa Valley (TROV)
An umbrella group of five area Therapeutic Riding Programs dedicated to increasing public awareness and support of Therapeutic Horseback-Riding in our communities.

Y’s Owl Maclure Cooperative Centre
Provides day supports and services to adults with disabilities including vocational assistance, employment, recreation, leisure and community outreach.

About H’Art

H’Art of Ottawa is an innovative and inclusive visual arts studio that supports and facilitates the creative practice of artists with intellectual disabilities. The studio’s unique art and literacy program fosters and promotes creative and cultural experiences, collaboration, self-expression, and self-determination. Exhibiting their work through the studio, galleries, and community venues, the artists participate in society in a meaningful way.
